Common Causes of Oil and Water in Compressed Air
Check after-treatment configuration, drains and actual air demand.
Common causes: (1) insufficient or failed after-treatment — drifted dew points or overdue filter cartridges; (2) clogged auto drains letting condensate re-enter the airstream; (3) actual demand far below design, lowering separation efficiency. Check drains first, then cartridges, then sizing.
